3 day horse trek with guesthouse accommodation (low season only)
Experience Kyrgyz life and adventure horse riding, enjoy the Kyrgyz mountains, family connections, relaxation and the fresh mountain air.
Duration: 3 days horse riding
Season: April/May until mid-June, September - November.
Day 1 Arrival in Barskoon Village. Accommodation in the guesthouse. A traditional Kyrgyz dinner will be served.
Day 2 After a good nights sleep, your short adventure begins! From the house you will be driven 5-6km to the stable at Taldy Bulak. Here you will meet your guide and horses. After getting acquainted with your horse, you start your first day. From Taldy-Bulak you cross the Barskoon canyon and head towards the village of Tamga. Your route takes you across Upper Tamga, passing through orchards, before you cross the Tamga River. From here you head down towards the lake shore and the village of Tosor, where you will spend the night in a guesthouse. A stop is made for a picnic lunch.
Day 3 From Tosor you first ride to the magical Skazka (Fairytale in Russian) Canyon. After spending time exploring the rock formations, you restart your ride and head back into the mountains to a family run farm where you will spend the night. A stop is made for a picnic lunch.
Day 4 Your final day. From the farm you will continue your ride along the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul back to Barskoon where you will overnight again at the guesthouse. A stop is made for a picnic lunch.
Day 5 Return to Bishkek after your adventure on the south shore of Lake Issyk-Kul.
The tour includes*: guesthouse accommodation, English speaking tour guide, horseman, 3 meals a day, horses with all equipment, first aid kit.
Requirements for riders: children over 5 years old and riders of all abilities.
You need to bring: Down jacket, warm sweater, helmet, warm sleeping bag (optional, all accommodation is in guesthouses, but you may prefer your own sleeping bag), rain gear, warm socks, waterproof trekking boots, gloves, sunglasses, sun cream, flashlight, personal medicine, metal water bottle (0,75 liters), a few children's toys, reading material.

* We can arrange transfer to Barskoon and return to Bishkek for additional charges.
